Treadmill maintenance
Once in a week use a damp cloth to clean the side rails and all parts of the running surface or deck that is visible. Dirt, dust and perspiration are the enemies of your treadmill’s deck and running belt.
Once in a month run the treadmill without anyone on it. Check to make sure the running belt is in the centre. If the belt is not in the centre, it should be adjusted (refer to your owner’s manual for belt alignment and adjustment instructions). Also run the treadmill in full speed for a few minutes to clean out any dirt and debris that has been accumulated. Check under the running belt and on top of the treadmill deck to ensure that adequate amount of lubrication is present. Every 6 months unplug machine from the mains, remove the motor hood and vacuum the motor area. Dirt and dust can settle on the electronic components and motors which may lead to a short circuit.
